The last country from the Baltic States for us to visit was Estonia. From a friend I (Chantal) have made on the Canary Island La Palma, we had some recommendations. One of them was Pärnu, which is a city at the beach. As we reached this place, we had to change our original plans. Actually we wanted to go to this one National Park, though we didn't know that Public Transportation worked in such a pace, we wouldn't have been able to come back. Therefore - since we are flexible and just go with the flow - we just decided to go to another one close by. In order to be able to do so, we had to leave our baggage at the Train Station. 2€ it said on a sign. Of course we were expecting this price per piece, but actually we paid that for leaving 2 massive travel bag packs and one normal one. We realized that this would have been way more expensive in Germany. In general we were able to notice a difference in prices. To travel an hour by bus would cost us 0,50€ - super cheap. Therefore we went to this beautiful place (again, a place in the middle of nowhere. Actually it seems to be that unusual to go there, that even though we told the bus driver to stop there, he kept on driving and we had to shout at him to please let us out) and started exploring.

Starting from there, it only took us like 20 minutes to reach the place we wanted to be at. Our destination, which actually has been recommended to us by an incredible Couchsurfer, who wasn't able to host us but wanted to give us something anyway, was called "Rannametsa" and we enjoyed it a lot. We were surrounded by lakes, trees, a wooden path and just ourselves. Since weather wasn't the best, we were pretty much the only ones who decided to dip into this little nature adventure.

We believe that this picture gives a good impression about its beauty. Though of course the photo is not able to deliver all the surroundings we were allowed to acknowledge, such as the smell of fresh rain, wood and nature. The noice of steps we created whilst walking on the path. Most importantly though how happy, relieved and free we felt.

As we reached a little lake, we also took the Chanzy and shot a dancing video (to be released later on!).

This little exploration was followed by us departing to the capital of Estonia - Tallin. Of course we also had a great Couchsurfing host there. Alex (or Sascha how you would say in Russian, since this is the nickname for someone called Aleksander in their language) introduced is to the art of drawing into wood by basically using a tool that burns it. For us - super exciting. Also because we have drawn something into a piece of wood that would stay in his home, so we left something like a mark.

During the next days we explored the actual city. Due to the fact that Tallin has a really beautifully kept Old Town and an Artist District, we actually liked it a little bit better than Riga. Here are some impressions:

When we attended a Couchsurfing meetup, we realized that one of the girls we had met in Riga was also here, in Tallin. Of course we met up with her and had some coffee. It is amazing to see, that we somehow have friends all over the world, even though we had never been to those places before.

After Tallin, we would enter Russia by taking a quite scary night bus. Stay tuned to read about that soon! Keep shining and feel hugged.
