A lot of people told us that St. Petersburg is more beautiful than Moscow. Well, Chantal agrees with that but I needed to get a better picture of Moscow for myself. We arrived in the morning and took the Metro to get to our Couchsurfer Aleks. The first thing we realised was that it was much hotter in the metro. When we arrived at Alek's home we needed to take a shower, before doing anything else. After talking a while with Aleks, we started exploring Moscow. Of course one must do is to go to see the Kreml. Unfortunately, it was not possible to see Lenin because it was closed. Hoewever, for me all the buldings already were very impressive. But see for yourself.

But I have to admit that I also like St. Petersburg a little bit more. Moscow has very beautiful buildings but everything is so big and far away, whilst in St. Petersburg you can find everything in that big main street. However, the Metro in Moscow is really impressiv. I mean the stations are so beautiful. I would go by metro everyday just to see this! By the way, during our second day here we made a little dance video to a really cool russian song, which our host Andrej showed us. We will drop that one later on Instagram and Facebook. =)

Aleks invited us to a language meet-up and we joined it for around an hour, but because it got so big and loud, we just needed to leave to chill a little bit.

The next days we went to a little park, walked around in the winter wonderland and enjoyed a bit of nature within that big city. Furthermore, we visited the space museum, which was really impressive. We even had some food out of a tube, really funny.

In general, I have to admit that the people here are a bit colder. Once, we asked someone if he can take a picture of us, but he totally ignored us. Also, Chantal asked where we can find a supermarket and they didn't want to give us an answer. Aleks, our host told us, that we look Russian. So, if Chantal speaks with an German accent they might think that she is drunk and that is the reason for them not helping us. Well, it was a cool time in Moscow and probably I (Franzy) will come back in summer one day but now we are ready to discover some other cities in Russia. Next stop: Kazan!

Keep shining.
