Next Monday we start our trip to China. The time is flying and there is still so much to do.
The most important things first, the Visa. We actually need two, the russian and the chinese one. What do you need to get a Visa?
I would say the russian one is a little bit easier, so let's start with that one.
1. Make sure that a travel agency (usually russian agency) who is doing visa is in your region. But don't worry, it can be done via post, too.
2. You need your passport, of course.
3. You need a photo (passport standards and not an old one, please;))
4. You need a statement that you have enough money, so that they can be sure that you are going back to your home country. That can be a statement of your bank account or your wages. Maybe the total amount is different between the agencies but usually you need around 1.500 Euro to get a tourism Visum for 30 Days.
5. International Health Insurance
6. The agency is getting an invertation for you.
Now, you have to wait around two weeks. The whole process costs around 96 Euro. If you need the Visa faster the price is getting higher. Easy.
The Chinese Visa for us was pretty simple, because we will study there for two semesters. Our University was sending us the documents we needed.
All we had to do was:
1. Do a copy of the documents we got from our University
2. Visit the website of the Visa Application Center and search for the one who is responsible for you (usually it depends where you live)
3. Fill out the online formular
4. Get an appointment, give them the documents and pay your fee.
The Chinese Visa is usually ready within 4-5 days and costs around 125 Euro.
We both already have one Visa and are waiting for the second. Until then everybody is enjoying life and spend some time with firends and family. That is why Franzy is already in Berlin.
If everything goes according to the plan, we can leave next week on Monday. So Excited.
